Citric Acid Lemonade

As per request, here is the recipe that my family uses to make this special-occasion lemonade. It's really simple, and really good!

2 cups sugar
1 tbsp. citric acid
1 tbsp. lemon extract
1 gallon water

Mix it all together and serve!

Yeah! Thanks so much. I knew it was simple to do, just needed the right measurements. I'm gonna make this VERY soon:)

OK, nobody said the citric acid is a real trick to find. After looking in the spices and the canning areas, I looked in health and beauty aids. Then finally (thanks to a tip from Aunt Annette) I asked the pharmasist...DUH! How was I to know he kept it safe behind his locked doors. OK, so I now have all the ingredients home and I am going to make some wonderful lemonade! And enjoy it! Yeah!

You can buy Citric Acid in pound bags at Amason. com. It can be used for household cleaning, cooking and baking, and I use it to add 1 tablespoon to my dishwasher soap to get rid of hard ward desposits on glasses.
